Overview
Consultant was engaged by the company as the team architect and the lead technical consultant. Developed a robust, fault tolerant architecture where nearly every component of Plumtree Corporate Portal 5.0.4 was replicated, mirrored, or highly available. Consultant developed a custom pluggable navigation that provided a very unique user interface for the portal; further developed portlet development approach using standard templates for the portlet types. Using Java and J2EE Specs, coded multiple adaptive portlets, Activity Spaces, Custom PEI’s and PRC’s. Consultant developed coding standards and constructs to aid in development. Consultant acted as the Portal Architect and consultant on security and content management topics. The portal user base will eventually total 1,500 users dispersed in all 50 states in the United States. The solution provides critical knowledge management, document management, and collaborative capabilities. Integrated Content Server 6.0, Studio Server 2.0, Collaboration Server 4.2, BEA WebLogic 8.1, Tomcat 5, Rhythmyx CMS 5, Oracle 9, Active Directory. Some portlets will be JSR 168/ WSRP compliant.
